Alsamara (GB)

2015, Filly New Approach (IRE) - Altitude (GB) (Green Desert (USA))

Owner: John Berry
Breeder: Kirsten Rausing and JS Bolger

This beautifully-bred half-sister to Hope Is High was bought unraced from Jim Bolger's stable at the Goffs November Sale. She won't resume her training until the second half of this year but we look forward to seeing if she is able to follow the winning ways of her big sister.

Amenta (IRE)

2015, Filly Roderic O'Connor (IRE) - Pale Light (USA) (Lemon Drop Kid (USA))
Owner: Liam Norris
Breeder: B Kennedy and Mrs Ann Marie Kennedy

Amenta joined us from Roger Charlton's stable last October and is a very good-natured filly whom we hope can win for her owner Liam, a great friend of ours.

Das Kapital (GB)

2015, Colt Cityscape (GB) - Narla (GB) (Nayef (USA))

Owner: The Geezers
Breeder: Wickfield Farm Partnership

The beautiful first-crop son of Cityscape was a welcome addition to our stable last year and we're looking forward to his debut this spring for three good friends.

Delatite (GB)

2012, Gelding Schiaparelli (GER) - Desiree (IRE) (Desert Story (IRE))

Owner: The Beverley House Stables Partnership
Breeder: Emma Berry

Delatite is a well-made gelding from the first crop of Schiaparelli and he gave us all a huge thrill when winning a bumper at Sedgefield by nine lengths in October 2017. We came close to losing him soon after that when he was struck down by a serious illness. He is on the road to recovery but it is likely to be a long one and he will be out of training for much of 2018.

Dereham (GB)

2016, Gelding Sir Percy (GB) - Desiree (IRE) (Desert Story (IRE))
Owner: Emma Berry
Breeder: Emma Berry

The youngest of the Desiree clan, two-year-old Dereham is a half-brother to our homebred bumper winner Delatite and is by Emma's favourite stallion, Sir Percy.

Dervish (GB)

2014, Gelding Cacique (GB) - Doggerbank (IRE) (Oasis Dream (GB))

Owner: John Berry
Breeder: Mr G Schoeningh

A recent acquisition from Luca Cumani's stable, Dervish is a very good-looking son of the now-retired Cacique. He's still lightly raced and he can hopefully provide us with some fun this summer.

Ethics Boy (FR)

2016, Gelding Anodin (IRE) - Ethics Girl (IRE) (Hernando (FR))

Owner: Lawrence Wadey, Emma Berry & John Berry
Breeder: Bruce Sherwin, Lawrence Wadey & Emma Berry

This is a very special addition to the stable as he is the first foal of or former star performer Ethics Girl. He's a nice, neat sort and we hope, like most of the members of his close family, that he will be capable of running and winning over many seasons ahead.

Free Bird (GB)

2015, Filly Phoenix Reach (IRE) - Love Supreme (IRE) (Supreme Leader (GB))

Owner: Emma Berry
Breeder: Derrick Mossop and Mickley Stud

The three-year-old half-sister to Near Wild Heaven is a nice young National Hunt prospect who will start off in bumpers and is being aimed at MOPS races.

Freediver (GB)

2014, Filly Bated Breath (GB) - Grand Coral (GB) (Grand Lodge (USA))

Owner: Emma Berry
Breeder: Millsec Limited

Bought from Juddmonte, Freediver is a well-bred filly from the immediate family of Martaline, Coastal Path and Reefscape, and further back Oasis Dream, Beat Hollow and Kingman. Despite the fact that she's by the sprinter Bated Breath, the stamina of her dam's immediate family is very much to the fore in everything she does and she should be competitive in staying handicaps this year.

Hope Is High (GB)

2013, Filly Sir Percy (GB) - Altitude (GB) (Green Desert (USA))

Owner: Emma Berry and John Berry
Breeder: Kirsten Rausing

Emma bought the well-bred Hope Is High at Tattersalls' February Sale with the long-term plan of breeding from her, but she's proved to be a nice racing prospect with five wins and counting. She's as consistent as she's genuine and we hope there will be more to come from her this year.

Irene Wilde (FR)

2014, Filly Silver Frost (FR) - Danse Revee (FR) (Manduro (GER))
Owner: Charles Wentworth
Breeder: Daniel Cherdo

A well made filly from a very good French family which includes Prix Gladiateur winner Varevees and the stallion Kaldounevees, she has been slow to come to hand but is very straightforward in everything she does and we hope Charles's patience will be rewarded this year.

Kryptos (GB)

2014, Colt Cacique (GB) - Posteritas (USA) (Lear Fan (USA))
Owner: Anthony Fordham
Breeder: Juddmonte Farms Ltd.

Bought from the Tattersalls HIT Sale for 12,000gns, Kryptos rose swiftly to be our stable star in 2017, with three wins and two places from five starts. A full-brother to Juddmonte's Group 1 winner Mutual Trust, he's now rated 100 and we hope he can continue to progress this year.

Pantomime Prince (GB)

2003, Gelding Royal Applause (GB) - Floppie (GB) (Law Society (USA))

Roy Rocket (FR)

2010, Gelding Layman (USA) - Minnie's Mystery (FR) (Highest Honor (FR))

Owner: McCarthy & Berry
Breeder: John Berry

Roy Rocket is Minnie's Mystery's third foal and, at the age of seven, he shouldn't really still be an enfant terrible but he is. His antics are overlooked, however, as he has now won six races, all at his beloved Brighton, where he has become a bit of a celebrity. His half-brothers, White Valiant, Grey Panel and Dream Walker, are also multiple winners. It's a pleasure to have Larry and Iris McCarthy, who have been longstanding supporters of this stable, as co-owners.

Sacred Rock

2013, Gelding Rock Of Gibraltar (IRE) - Snowpalm (GB) (Halling (USA))

Owner: Lawrence Wadey
Breeder: L. A. Walshe

Sacred Rock has recently returned to the stable after a long break which we decided was in his best interest to give him time to strengthen and mature. He has grown again during that spell and is a fine, big horse with a lovely character who we hope to start in bumpers later this year.

Sussex Girl (GB)

2014, Filly Compton Place (GB) - Palinisa (FR) (Night Shift (USA))
Owner: Dan Tunmore & John Berry
Breeder: Elusive Bloodstock

Sussex Girl is Ethics Girl's half-sister so is from a family we know well and one which boasts plenty of winners. She showed that she has every intention of following in her sibling's footsteps by winning at Brighton last season and following that up less than a week later with another victory at Yarmouth. We hope there's plenty more to come.

Sweet Charisma (FR)

2015, Filly Motivator (GB) - Soft Pleasure (USA) (Diesis (USA))

Owner: R Huggins, C Plant, L Sinden, A Mayne
Breeder: Jean-Marie Mussat

This is a filly with a lovely pedigree who hails from the same family as Treve and is by her sire, Motivator. She's a long-term prospect but has been lovely to deal with so far and hopefully she will make her racecourse debut this spring.

Wasted Sunsets (FR)

2014, Filly Myboycharlie (IRE) - Freezing (FR) (Bering (GB))
Owner: Zorka Wentworth
Breeder: Ecurie Olivier Piraud

A well-made filly by a very good stallion, she is nicely-bred, being out of a half-sister to Group 1 winner Goldamix, and she looks a progressive sort.

White Valiant (FR)

2013, Gelding Youmzain (IRE) - Minnie's Mystery (FR) (Highest Honor (FR))
Owner: Bruce Atkinson and John Berry
Breeder: John Berry

The winner of two bumpers, including on debut at 80/1, White Valiant looks to have a decent amount of ability will continue as a dual-purpose prospect. He's by far the biggest of Minnie's Mystery's offspring and we hope he will be progressive.
