Sussex Girl at the double

We hadn't even got round to updating the news section with Sussex Girl's first win and she'd won again, in less than a week, her victories coming at Brighton and Yarmouth, both in the hands of Nicola Currie.

Sussex Girl, who runs in the colours of Dan Tunmore, of course has an extra special place in our hearts as the sister of our former stable star Ethics Girl, whose seven wins included the Brighton Cup. It was therefore doubly appropriate that her sister should record her first win at the Sussex track. Keen to have one last run on the turf before the season ends, John decided she'd come out of her race well enough to warrant running at Yarmouth six days later and she posted a very determined victory under a textbook ride from Nicola.

Sussex Girl is not very big but she has a willingness for the job which is so typical of her family, which includes a number of multiple winners. Hopefully she can build on this successful patch with some decent runs through the winter for Dan, who has been a very loyal supporter of this stable.
