Silken Thoughts Delivers Again

Silken Thoughts posted a very game performance to win her second race of the season on Thursday at Lingfield for the Renewal Partnership.

Heavy rain in the morning led to the track being softer than is ideal for her but, having looked like she wasn't travelling so well in the early stages, she found her feet on better ground in the middle of the straight and quickly reeled in the long-time leader Destiny Of Dreams.

Silken Thoughts' last four runs have all been at ten furlongs and she has showed it's a trip she relishes, with form figures of 3-1-2-1. Apart from being a well made and good moving filly, her biggest asset is undoubtedly her very genuine nature, which saw her win despite not particularly enjoying the conditions.

Once again, our thanks go to Cathy Gannon, who gave the filly a smashing ride, and to Hugh Fraser, Silken Thoughts' regular partner since she arrived at the yard and seen here with her on the gallops at home.
