As he's only a little two-year-old, Karma Chameleon isn't the obvious horse to thrive on frequent visits to the racecourse but he's as tough as they come and by winning at Southwell on 29 December he posted his third victory from three runs in a 15-day period.

He does everything with a smile on his face and his enthusiasm shone through on a dark, damp winter's afternoon as he completed his hat-trick in style. There were one or two anxious moments mid-race as the fibresand was being kicked all around him but that was not enough to put him off.

The other anxious moments had come pre-race when we discovered that his intended rider Seb Sanders was indisposed as the result of a nasty kick in the parade ring at Lingfield the previous day. However, Hayley Turner proved an excellent substitute and her smile matched Karma Chameleon's grin as she rode back into the winner's enclosure of her home track.

Karma Chameleon's victory continued the excellent run being enjoyed by the Emirates Entertainment Racing Club, who have had six winners from six runners, three in England and three in Dubai, in the last three weeks.
