Frankie Dettori maintained his 100 per cent strike rate for this stable when riding Tony Fordham's Batgirl to a second consecutive victory at Yarmouth on Friday.

Batgirl, whose sire Mark Of Esteem was one of Frankie's 'Magnificent Seven' winners at Ascot in 1996, has now won four of her last seven starts and is two from two for this season.

John and Frankie worked together more than 20 years ago at Luca Cumani's stable and, interviewed after the race, Frankie said: 'John's an old friend and it's always nice to ride a winner for a friend.'
